Updates

Well I am way behind in my blog posting! Things have been crazy lately! Since my last post so much has happened! Jerrod was laid off for 3 weeks but thankfully went back to work quickly. Jerrod also turned 30 and I had a fabulous surprise party for him! Luckily he never figured it out and no one blew it for me and told him. There were a few close calls but it worked out even though it snowed like crazy the day before and started again during the party! A big thanks to all who came out and braved the weather :) I've been back at work in full swing for 2 months now and its a little hectic. But enough about Jerrod and I- I'm sure you all are wanting to know about our little Leah! She is wonderful! We are so blessed to have what we think is the greatest baby in the world! She has grown so much and changes everyday! She is learning more and more all the time. She is currently a little over 3 months old and weighs 16 pounds and 2 ounces! She's a healthy baby!!! She looks so much like both of us depending on her mood. When she's happy and giggly she looks like Jerrod and when she's serious or concentrating she looks like me! She loves to lay in the floor and stare at the ceiling, chew on her hands and fingers, try to put her whole fist in her mouth and laugh! She has recently been sleeping 9 hours every night!!! It is fantastic! I can remember how we never thought it was possible for her to sleep all night! While jerrod was laid off he got to spend lots of time with her and basically he got to see what it was like for me the first 6 weeks Leah was around. He got up with her at night, calmed her when she was fussy, changed stinky diapers and was sleep deprived. Honestly all men need to go thru spending that much time with their child so they can have a deep appreciation for what their wife goes thru during those times! I know my husband benefited from that time greatly! I truly am amazed at how good Jerrod is with Leah! I always knew he would be a good daddy but had no idea how great of a daddy he would become! Leah loves to smile and giggle and make funny noises :) One of her favorite places is her changing table. For whatever reason when she's laying there, whether I'm changing her diaper or not, she laughs and giggles the whole time! She has started laughing out loud and it is the funniest thing! She only cries when she's either needing a diaper change, sleepy or hungry. The only thing she has a hard time with is fighting her sleep. She hates to go to sleep! But once she's out there's no waking her up! She is everything we could have asked for and more!
