Well here we are at the halfway mark- the big 20 weeks! I can't believe it's here! We went yesterday for our first big ultrasound and check up. For a very long time I have always wanted to have a boy but for some reason changed my mind when I found out I was pregnant. Jerrod has always wanted a boy which is understandable. He and I have argued every day since we found out I was pregnant, he said it was going to be a boy and I said it would be a girl! So during our ultrasound the tech asked us if we wanted to know the sex of the baby and of course we said ABSOLUTELY!!! I HATE surprises and I had been dying to know! As we looked at this sweet little baby who has grown so much in the last few weeks, the tech said "It's a Girl." I knew I was right!!! Jerrod turned and looked at me and said, "I knew it was a girl all along, you were right." He asked me if I wanted to do an "I told ya so" dance but I didn't want to rub it in too bad. After the tech did all the measurements and stuff, she told me that I had a partial placenta previa. She explained that the placenta was covering part of my cervix which can cause bleeding before the baby is born. It's nothing to be alarmed about and the doctor said the placenta should pull away from my cervix as the baby grows. Worse case scenario I have to have a C section, no biggie if that happens. I'm looking so forward to getting registered and working on the nursery! My mother-in-law was so excited it was a girl, she went and bought all the nursery bedding that I had already picked out! There is so much we have to decide on and also stuff to do I'm trying to stay calm and not get overwhelmed! If anyone has any suggestions on brands, etc. please advise! I want to send a HUGE thank you to my dear friend, Heather!!! She has been so helpful, since she herself is a new first time mother with a 4 month old, with all my crazy pregnancy questions and brand questions! You're a life saver, Heather!!! My parents and little sister are super excited, who will now be known as, Gramma, Pap and Auntie L. The in-laws will now be known as, GiGi and Poppy. The fun is just beginning!!! THINK PINK!!!

Yep, It's a Girl!

As far as me still being sick, it comes and goes. Some days are great, some not so much. Last week I had thrown up so hard and forcefully that I had a horrible bruising all over my face and neck. The doctor said it was fine and it just looked bad but nothing to be concerned about. Thank the good Lord for makeup!
